They call it the Superbowl of Swine...

Beginning in 2006, The Joint began making the trek to the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest in Tennessee to join a team of Memphians called Magically Piglicious.

Prior to the actual cookoff, there are three days and nights of BBQ revelry (partying) where The Joint cooks meals for the team of roughly 20-25 members, their families and friends (from 60-300 people on a given day).

After a big blowout on Friday, The Joint competes in the rib category beginning early on Saturday.

One round of blind judging is followed by three rounds of on-site, face to face judging. The judges are treated to a presentation of ribs, complete with processes, techniques, ingredients, reasoning and seasoning.
